
Men of Scholarship and Achievement (MOSA)
Men of Scholarship and Achievement (MOSA) is a comprehensive retention program focused on facilitating an environment conducive for the academic and social success of Black and Latino male undergraduates at Rutgers. The program is affiliated with the Student African American Brotherhood (S.A.A.B.), a nationally recognized consortium of college and university programs that are committed to the academic success of black and Latino male students. The programs include the following:
- Summer Connection students are welcomed to campus in the summer for an opportunity to make connections with current Rutgers students, faculty, administrators and alumni.
- Fall Community Reception the goal of this program is for Faculty/Staff and students to get begin the dialogue and connections needed in order to produce the needed support networks for African American and Latino men at Rutgers.
- Gathering of Men's Retreat is a two-day weekend retreat that seeks to facilitate the utilization of the diverse political, cultural and economic perspectives of African American and Latino men at Rutgers University to build critical knowledge and awareness, create community, foster academic success and develop strategies for social change.
- Achievement Excellence Recognition Programs Academic achievement among the African American and Latino male scholar's is celebrated in with the Rutgers community twice an academic year.

The Men's Achievement Network (MAN) is a partnership between the Office of Multicultural Engagement, the Black Men’s Collective and the Society of Latin American Men (SLAM) that connects African-American and Latino male collegians at Rutgers with the purpose of promoting community development, empowerment, education and academic excellence. Women of Color Initiatives (WOCI)
WOCI is a series of programs that serves to outreach and connect women of color at Rutgers to create a supportive, empowering and educative environment. The programs include the following:
- Latina Focus Group and Black S.T.A.R.S. are empowerment groups dedicated to developing and strengthening the social, cultural and political consciousness of Latina and black women undergraduates at Rutgers. The group's primary focus is creating a support network for students by connecting them with their peers, faculty, staff and alumnae.
- Fall Women of Color "Meet & Greet" is a program for faculty, staff and students to get begin the dialogue and connections needed in order to produce the needed support networks for women of color at Rutgers. We are hoping that this will be a continuous partnership and produce the possibility of some mentorship among the Faculty/Staff and Undergraduates.
- Annual Symposium is a highly successful one-day program that brings together students, faculty and administrators at the university to discuss issues salient to the experiences and success of women of color. Register Now!
- Annual Spring Sisterhood Retreat an experience that provides students with an opportunity to connect, bond and discuss societal and personal issues impacting women at Rutgers and the larger society.
